This last year and a half has been very tough. After being in and out of hospice for four years, my mom died, three friends died, a friends' father died, two friends' mothers died, mother-in- law placed in hospice, been looking for work and nothing has come through yet, my daughter having financial problems which affects my grandchildren as well. And most recently, yesterday, my sister-in-law Linda passed away - a good friend that I have known for 40 years. I am worried about her husband, my brother Jimmy and Holly her daughter, and her two grandchildren. I am such a sensitive soul and I feel the pain of others as I feel my own pain.
Yet, I have so much that I am thankful for. I am thankful for my family, I am thankful for my health, I am thankful that I have a home to live in, I am thankful for the ability to look for a job, I am thankful that I can see, hear, walk, smile. I am thankful for my friends. I am thankful that I love and that I am loved. I am thankful for memories and good times. I am thankful that God is watching over us all.
