Today, people have reverted to an intellectual tribalism where they are only willing to consider the perspective of their own tribe.

Today a person cannot really express himself without some sort of backlash if the majority doesn't agree, and in mean and hateful ways. The people who are doing the hate calling are actually the "haters".
