Here's my latest coloring page. I know it's not perfect - but I'm not doing this for anybody but myself. It's relaxing. It isn't perfect because I'm not perfect nor do I want to be :) I'm learning how to use the markers better but I do  need to find some finer points if I am going to be coloring pages with small detail.

9-23-15 ~ Decorah Bald Eagle Cam Update

The RRP Cam crew has been busy the past few days to repair/replace/install new equipment and cables to the camera shed, and carrying on Bob Anderson's visions and goals. As you will recall, Bob wanted to switch cameras to HD quality this year, and we had to contend with equipment issues and infrastructure that knocked out the live view from N1, and took out the cam also at N2 and the top of that tree.
Work started today at N1, and testing of equipment is performing well. In a day or two, the team will start installing cams at N2B. It is hoped that Mom and Dad Decorah will choose the starter nest that was provided for them, and it is also our hope that in the event they choose to build their own nest nearby that the PTZ cam (point-tilt-zoom) will be able to provide a view for us ... unless they build directly behind in the blind spot where the cam would be mounted. Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well for a viewing season this year.
One other bit of news from Executive Director John Howe who reports that the food treats left in the nest for Mom & Dad after the starter nest install were taken. So either Mom or Dad (or both) have been in the N2B nest.

I really don't like going outside, it's too peopley out there.....

Did you watch the Republican Debate last night? I did. Well, most of it anyway. I thought Carly was strong. I actually like her. I like the fact that she wants to fight Planned Parenthood for one thing. Christie was strong - but I don't really care for him. Carson is very laid back, a thinker. Carson has class. I respect him. I also think Carson would be a wonderful role model for young black people. I think that he is somebody they can look up to - unlike Obama. Obama doesn't care. Trump is in your face. I like Trump and a lot of what he says, but I don't like the eye rolling and faces he makes. That doesn't look very Presidential. So....I guess for me.....Ben Carson is still the man. I agree with a lot that he says and he looked and acted the most Presidential person on that stage last night. Trump will be in a close 2nd. I know....I know.....but besides Carson, Trump is the only other alternative to get America back to what it was before Obama tore it apart.

The picture in this article shows a crowd of migrants protesting at the Hungary-Serbia border. They are mostly all grown men. I wouldn't let them through the border either. Who wants this kind of bullshit within their country? If these people are so "afraid" and are running to a safer place why don't they stay and fight like this with their own country? Why fight against another country when the problem they have is with their own country? I would just help the children. The others need to learn to fight for themselves in their own country not coming over to fight with another country. They should use their hate and violence to save themselves. Make your hate useful in your own country.

I've always loved trains but have taken only one train ride from Detroit to Kalamazoo back in the 1970's. Wasn't a long ride but it was fun :)

And now I'm excited as I am going on this ride Sunday the 20th, with Bryan, Heather, Mark, Samuel and Madison. What a great way to spend a Sunday with loved ones just a few days before the start of the Autumnal Equinox and my favorite season. The strolling musicians should be great :)

Riley and the Pumpkin Patch

It's always fun to watch puppies explore and find new things. Yesterday, Riley discovered the pumpkin patch that had grown from pumpkins that we threw out in the field from previous years.

I've started doing some "Coloring Therapy". This is my first page. I just do the coloring not the designs. I hope to be able to do some designs on my own before long. I've tried but I'm not as creative as some of these people are lol. For now I will color, then I will doodle :) It's very relaxing. I listen to classical music on my headphones while I do it......

A Christian named Mike Powers was already having a not-so-good day, then he got stopped by a Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper (Jason Ales). AFTER Trooper Ales handed Mike a speeding ticket, Mike felt the need to ask about the trooper's day (because of the recent killings of police officers). Trooper Ales shared that his job was becoming increasingly tough, but he was committed to serving the community. – MIKE THEN GAVE Trooper Ales a wooden prayer bracelet. The trooper was moved by the gesture, and was almost brought to tears.

TROOPER ALES STATED: “I gave this man a ticket ... worth two hundred something dollars, but still out of his kindness, he wanted to give me something. With the stuff that’s going on with officers, that right there was so positive. – I needed that.”

The wooden bracelet is now hanging in Trooper Ales’ patrol car. Let’s always remember that God uses every experience for our good … and the good of others.
