Chemo and radiation today. This will be my 2nd chemo treatment and my 6th radiation treatment. Radiation only takes about 15 minutes. Chemo takes about 2.5 hours. Always good to have reading material ready. However, the chemo room has a beautiful window to look out of with birds and a pond. Very relaxing just to watch the birds - there are a number of cardinals which inhabit the area.
I did get some good news from the Radiation Oncologist yesterday, my tumor is shrinking already after only 4 radiation treatments and 1 chemo treatment!! yayy!! Praise the Lord! I will now have to have another CT scan and remarked. They are going to make the radiation beam smaller! This is excellent news for me!
Hoping for good results on the CT scan. I don't know if they will do that today or another day this week. The smaller the tumor the sooner I can have my surgery and get this cancer out of me!
This is a radiation machine similar to the one that is used on me.
Hopefully this 2nd round of chemo won't be too hard on me. I have a lot to do! Ha!
