I chatted with a lady today in the chemo room (she was with her husband who was on chemo) and she was telling me all about her baby alpaca. They have 9 of them. She was showing pictures from her phone. There was a lady in the next chair who has been having chemo since January. She is almost done. She said she lost her hair with her first chemo treatment - but she looked lovely to me with her hat on :) So far after 3 treatments I have not lost any hair. I'm really not sure what to expect except what will be will be!

Ruby, our new apricot standard poodle should be coming home the weekend of June 8 which is right around the corner! Possibly even a couple of days before! I've been anticipating her arrival! I'm going to start grooming her right away so she can get used to the razor. Also, bathing right away. I have learned a lot about Poodles from Riley and grooming can be a nightmare but ya just gotta keep up with it. The shaggy look is great! I love it! But, it has to be brushed or it gets matted. In the summer, it's best to keep them shorter, I think. Then, when they are in the pond they dry off faster, are cooler and ticks are easier to see! And.....they feel like the softness of velvet!
