Today I went for my last radiation/chemo treatment and found out I didn't need a chemo treatment just radiation - which was wonderful news! I am officially finished with this part of my journey. I got to "ring the bell" which is what the cancer patients do when they finish their treatment. They gave me a bag with misc. items in it including a ribbon. I hugged the nurses and got teary eyed. They are a wonderful group there at the Lima Memorial Cancer Institute.

Next stop, a CT scan and appointment with the surgeon. I'm thinking lung surgery end of July or August or sooner - hell I have no idea until I see the surgeon Dr. Mawulawde. I expect them to call me tomorrow to set that up.

The lung surgery is the scariest part of all to me. I have so many "what ifs" that I just have to quit thinking about it. I scare myself.

The effects of the 5 weeks of chemo/radiation could take weeks or months to subside. I think they will start subsiding sooner than that. I think I will start feeling better within a few days.

Until next time.......Tuesday Blessings.....
