Well, made it to radiation and home without getting sick again. Maybe it will only be once today? I hope so.
I made a stop at Hair Emporium before going home to make an appointment to get my hair cut (I had to cancel 2 weeks ago due to being at radiation) and Bruce said, "How about right now?" and I said, " Absolutely! That would be great!!" I was so happy that he took the time to take me as a walk-in the way he did :) I have been going to Hair Emporium for over 20 years. I can't imagine where I will go if Bruce ever decides to retire!
Bruce said he doesn't notice any more thinness in my hair and said I wasn't losing any. He said after having 4 chemo's and only 2 more to go I probably wouldn't lose my hair if I haven't lost it by now. He could tell where it was still growing so that is good news. The other day Bryan said, "Your hair does seem to be thinner, Gail. I can see your scalp." That is true. But as Bruce explained to me when I started letting my gray grow instead of dying it, when you have gray hair - there is no pigmentation to it and it's easier to see the pink of your scalp. He said if I was to dye my hair black or something it would look like I had a whole head of hair. Makes sense to me.
Looking a little puffy from probably treatments and drinking so much water, feeling a little tired and my freshly cropped, still on my head, hair :)......now off to make a few errands while I am feeling good! yayyy!
