On New Year's Eve it will be 3 weeks since my last chemo. I had dry heaves yesterday and this morning but I feel sick less and less and feeling better more and more!
Wednesday, the 26th was my appointment with my lung surgeon to go over the CT scan results that I had last week. He was very happy with what he saw. Everything looks as it should. No signs of cancer so I guess at this time I am cancer free! :) I will have another CT scan in March. Then eventually (not sure when) I will have one once a year. After five years - if still no signs of cancer I will be considered cured. That's what I can hope for I guess - but it is in God's hands. I just love this surgeon - Dr. Mawulawde. I told him I wanted him as my regular full time doctor LOL.(I don't think my insurance would go for that as he's a cardiac/thoracic surgeon) I told him that if the time comes that I have to have my other lung removed I would definitely come to him LOL He laughed out loud, doubled over and said "Now, that was funny" :) That was a good laugh we had. Ha! After this awful year, I still have my sense of humor even though it is somewhat diluted. :) I am still recovering from that last bout of chemo from a couple of weeks ago. Extreme fatigue, vomiting and other affects from it but I am on the road to recovery now - every week gets better. I didn't lose any hair but wow did it ever get curly! But anyways - no more chemo - no more surgeries! Moving forward! Let the healing begin! Looking forward to 2019!
