Wednesday Going Down....

Overcast and rainy today. Temperature right now 46 F up to a high of 58 today. The snow has disappeared and it feels like spring. All of my fur babies are sleeping. Alex, Lucy and Oliver in the bedroom and Harley next to me on the desk. It's a sleepy rainy day lol Life is hard :)

Alex has been about the same - health wise. He absolutely loved the last little snow that arrived a couple of days ago and made sure to get outside to lay on it for a bit :) He has his good days and his bad days. The vet called with the results of his thyroid and blood chemical test and he said his thyroid and all is actually quite good. I am convinced that Alex has DM - and no cure, so it is what it is.....The vet mentioned lumbar stenosis but there is pain involved with that and as I have said in the past, Alex shows no signs of being in pain. It's hard to keep up with washing the sheets and rugs that I have down throughout the house for him. I try to be positive and think as long as I have sheets and rugs to protect the carpet he is still up and walking and that is good - for how long who knows, but I will savor and enjoy his presence as long as God allows it :)

I had been complaining in the past that I never see any deer out back anymore. That is true, however, it doesn't mean that there aren't any. I found a lot of deer tracks around the house yesterday morning that were fresh. They are all over the place at night lol. I found some fresh tracks right next to the window where I sleep. Even though I don't get to see them  - I'm glad that they are still in the area :)

Messed my back up again a few days ago for no apparent reason. I just bent over with no pain and came back up with pain. A visit to the chiropractor is in order. It is my sacroiliac joint for the most part. I have been doing stretches and something new called a yoga squat that seems to be relieving some of the pain so far. I have come to the conclusion that I am going to have to live with a bad back for the rest of my life. After falling on my tailbone back in high school and working physical labor and production at factory jobs I think at this time in my life - age will be the thing that hampers it more than anything.

Well, Harley is up now and is demanding to be fed by staring at me and walking back and forth in front of the computer so I can't see. He is persistent! The life of a cat........
