Just got back from the vet. Lucy, our youngest rescue cat crossed over the Rainbow Bridge for Cats about an hour ago. She had something called Eosinophillic Plaque. Her gums and teeth were literally being eaten away. She has always been a sickly cat with a compromised immune system since we rescued her about 9 years ago. Throughout the years she has been treated for skin sores, hair loss, general illness, antibiotics for infections, Depomedrol injections for allergies, little weight gain. She has never really been healthy - but she carried on. I guess it finally caught up with her - in a matter of a month her mouth was in such bad shape it was best for her to join Alex. We just buried her in a little area next to Alex by his head, that is where she used to love spending her time when they were together. They are together again...RIP little Lucy.....We'll miss you xox
