I know it's only the end of January, but put this item on your spring cleaning checklist. If you have never done it, do it NOW....

The National Fire Protection Association reports that approximately 15,000 home fires per year are associated with clothes dryers. Detach the duct from the back of the dryer and use a long snake like brush to remove flammable lint from the entire length of the vent.

No, this is NOT mine and hopefully not yours either!

Also, remember to check the batteries in your smoke detectors every year and replace! Be safe!
