Loose Pages

I am so excited! My brother is coming to spend a few days with us. He will be here tomorrow. My brother and I are close but we never see each other. He is always working. When I go up to Detroit to visit my family seeing him is always like hit and miss and maybe a beer. It will be so enjoyable to spend a few days with him and not have to worry about him having to work. We have spoken twice since my sister died. I called him the first time. He called me the second time. This is well-deserved time together for both of us.

Our mother died in 2010. His wife of 20 years died 2012. And our sister died 2016. He has lost his mom, wife and sister in 6 years. I know it's tough on him.

Friday night we plan on treating him to supper at a little bar for some excellent surf and turf with a couple beers. Saturday we want to take him through what we call Amishville but it's just a ride through Amish country. Maybe we will stop and pick up a few fresh Amish pies. Hopefully we will see some Amish buggies and laundry hanging out.

I've got your back always little brother. I love you Jim. :) It's just you and me now.....
